We are seeking a skilled Rad Technologist PRN to join our team at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of technical procedures, including radiological diagnostic procedures, operating diagnostic equipment, and preparing rooms for procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Operate all radiographic equipment and perform all radiological procedures in accordance with department standards.
- Identify each patient, review orders for consistency, and review each examination for technical accuracy.
- Present completed examinations to radiologists and communicate pertinent data to responsible parties.
- Organize patient care and set priorities by providing critical care first and implementing physician orders.
- Implement care in a knowledgeable, skillful, consistent, and continuous manner to ensure delivery of quality care according to age-specific guidelines.
- Adhere to all department and hospital safety procedures for patient and material handling.
- Deliver job responsibilities that impact own job area/team with some guidance.
- Use existing procedures, research, and analysis to solve standard job-related problems that may require some judgment.
- Require subject matter knowledge within a professional area to meet job requirements.
- Individually contribute to project/work teams.
- Supporting Colleagues: Develops self and others, builds and maintains relationships, communicates effectively, and delivers excellent services.
