Job Summary

As a Rad Technologist PRN at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, you will perform diagnostic imaging procedures on patients of all ages with minimal supervision. Your technical expertise and independent judgment will be essential in operating diagnostic equipment, processing images, and preparing rooms for procedures. You will also be responsible for clerical, scheduling, transportation, and other duties as assigned by the Medical Imaging Management Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate all radiographic equipment and perform radiological procedures with precision and accuracy.
  • Identify patients, review orders for consistency, and present completed examinations to radiologists.
  • Review examinations for technical accuracy and communicate pertinent data to healthcare teams.
  • Organize patient care, prioritize tasks, and implement care plans with knowledge and skill.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and regulations, including radiation protection and compliance with DHEC, Joint Commission, and ACR standards.
Core Accountabilities
  • Deliver job responsibilities that impact own job area/team with some guidance.
  • Use existing procedures, research, and analysis to solve standard job-related problems.
  • Requires subject matter knowledge within a professional area to meet job requirements.
  • Individually contribute to project/work teams.
Position Qualifications
  • Certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) licensure.
  • Work Experience: Less than 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Education: Graduate of an approved discipline-specific program.
