Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to emergency conditions, mechanical failures, and power outages to minimize downtime and ensure system reliability.
  • Conduct laboratory sampling and recordkeeping to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Prepare detailed field reports to document system performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Perform regular maintenance on vehicles, work areas, and equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Inspect and maintain grease traps to prevent clogs and ensure proper system function.

Requirements:

  • Certificate (or higher) in water technology or a related field; or at least one year of relevant experience.
  • Michigan L-2 and/or D Wastewater license (desired).
  • Experience maintaining piping, pumps, valves, and tanks for treatment plants.
  • Operating and maintaining instrumentation experience.
  • Laboratory sampling and recordkeeping experience.
  • Experience preparing field reports.
  • General maintenance of vehicles, work areas, and equipment.
  • Principles and methods of bacteriological and chemical water/wastewater treatment experience.
  • Experience with wastewater collection systems and water distribution systems.
  • Previous Safety training.
