About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analytics Specialist to join our team at Animal Humane Society. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will be responsible for maximizing data utilization and using data analytics to track, inform, and improve fundraising performance and strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analysis: Analyze and report on the performance of fundraising strategies, monitor trends and needs, and leverage data and insights to inform future work.
  • Production: Report data that provides important insights for future campaigns, events, and audience segmentation, design and maintain accurate reports, queries, and exports.
  • Support: Generate fundraising lists for annual funding, capital campaign, and events, assist with special events and donor inquiries, and use data to highlight trends in donor behavior as needed.
  • Communication: Listen, pay attention, and be a responsible steward of information, communicate issues and patterns, and partner with revenue-generating teams by using data to solve problems, create efficiencies, and track progress towards goals.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continually identify and explore opportunities for process improvements to achieve greater efficiency and efficacy in systems, processes, and procedures, develop and/or refine methodology of how data are stored within the database, and provide documentation on processes.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3+ years of data management experience.
  • Computer Skills: Strong computer skills, including a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, experience with databases and data visualization tools preferred.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a professional and positive manner with high attention to detail in a variety of situations.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, must have ability to work as a member of the team and partner collaboratively with external and internal customers and departments.
  • Physical & Emotional Capabilities: Must be able to handle the physical and emotional aspect of work at events and in an animal shelter environment, including the use of euthanasia.
