Terracon is seeking a skilled Construction Materials Technician I to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct field and laboratory testing of construction materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel.
- Communicate with project managers, engineering technicians, client representatives, and contractors to ensure quality control and assurance.
- Develop and implement quality control plans to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve material-related issues.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams on material-related matters.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as civil engineering, materials science, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in construction materials testing and inspection.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
