Job Title: Construction Materials Technician

Raba Kistner Inc. is a leading Engineering Consulting and Program Management firm. We are seeking a skilled Construction Materials Technician to join our team in San Antonio, TX.

Job Summary

The Construction Materials Technician is responsible for conducting field or laboratory testing, sampling, and/or inspection services. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate with dispatchers and supervisors to ensure priorities and deadlines are met.
  • Meet with project leads to discuss and coordinate testing, sampling, or inspection of construction materials or construction procedures.
  • Ensure safe utilization, storage, and maintenance of all nuclear gauges and field equipment.
  • Submit accurate and complete testing/inspection reports on a daily basis.
  • Drive company vehicles to job sites in a safe manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent, or possess at least one current relevant industry certification.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and meet firm's auto insurability requirements.
  • Able to travel to project sites and maneuver over rough and uneven terrain.
Requirements
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Ability to read and understand instructions, labels, reports, etc.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be safety-minded and willing to put safety first in performing all duties.
Work Environment

The Construction Materials Technician will work in a fast-paced environment with potential exposure to hazardous chemicals and solvents, noise, dust, fumes, grease, and oils. Regular use of non-complex machines and equipment and hand tools is required.

This position may require protracted or irregular hours. Flexibility to work irregular hours is necessary due to client needs.
