Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. As a COTA, you will play a vital role in helping our patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and regain independence.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with various physical and cognitive disabilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and goals
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and effective communication
  • Provide education and training to patients and their families on proper techniques and strategies for daily living and rehabilitation
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress and treatment plans
Requirements
  • Successful completion of an educational program for occupational therapy assistants recognized by the Board of Occupational Therapy Practice
  • Licensure to practice as an occupational therapy assistant in the state of Florida
  • Prior experience in occupational therapy
  • Member of state and national American Occupational Therapy Association
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Proficient administrative and public relations skills
  • Thorough knowledge of occupational therapy principles, methods, materials, and equipment
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and staff
