ZCON Builders is on the lookout for a skilled individual to join our team as a Project Engineer.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Project Manager and the project team with various tasks including project documentation, cost management, scheduling, and oversight of construction activities at our significant commercial project.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Project Manager with on-site operations to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Monitor project timelines to ensure adherence to deadlines.
  • Oversee the Request for Information (RFI) process; responsible for drafting, tracking, and maintaining logs.
  • Manage the Submittals process effectively.
  • Keep an updated Permit Log.
  • Revise Construction Drawings and As-Built Information.
  • Handle owner billings and address project-related financial matters as necessary.
  • Engage with all key stakeholders to facilitate successful project outcomes.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills and be a reliable team player, especially in high-pressure environments.
  • Support the site Superintendent as needed.
  • Maintain comprehensive daily logs, reports, submittals, RFIs, subcontractor lists, schedules, change orders, material procurement, logistics, as-builts, and project closeout documentation.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architectural, Engineering, or Construction Management is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction or engineering field.
  • Certification in Construction Project Management is advantageous.
  • Strong ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the capability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Prior experience in retail, commercial, or multi-family construction is desirable.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, ProCore, Plangrid, and MS Project is required.
