Job Summary

Ballard Spahr LLP is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Practice Management Administrator to join our Firm's practice management team. This role reports to the Chief Practice Management Officer and plays a critical part in the daily business operations of the Firm's legal departments and practice groups across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation and dissemination of financial metrics to review productivity of lawyers and practice groups.
  • Support the review of aged receivables and unbilled time, and assist with collections campaigns.
  • Review and approve non-billable expenses, professional licensing, industry membership, and continuing legal education requests.
  • Update firm dashboards and provide ad hoc financial analyses to department management as needed.
  • Maintain intranet portals, including updating meeting and office hour sessions.
  • Coordinate training programs and manage Workday approvals.
  • Assist with the implementation of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
  • Maintain department policies and practice management documentation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and relevant experience required.
  • Proficiency in the firm's computer applications and experience with technology and process management.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Professional demeanor, good judgment, and understanding of the need to exercise confidentiality and discretion.
