Job Title: Property Treaty Underwriter

An experienced Underwriter is sought to join the Property Treaty team of a leading international reinsurer in their Miami office.

Working closely with clients in the LatAm and Caribbean region, you will have delegated authority to make key decisions on new and renewal business, as well as offer alternative views and take ownership for a portfolio of business.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and analyze property treaty business with a focus on cat exposed portfolios.
  • Underwrite and price a portfolio of business, including renewal and new business.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including brokers, outwards reinsurance professionals, and senior management at client companies.
  • Collaborate with teams within the organization, such as cat modelling, actuarial, claims, and broader analytics.

To be successful in this position, you will have experience underwriting property reinsurance or insurance business in the LatAm region and/or a heavily cat exposed book of business.

Fluency in English and Spanish is required to build relationships in the region.
