We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Supervisor to join our team at the Detroit Medical Center. As a Medical Laboratory Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our laboratory, ensuring that all tests are performed accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision: Provide guidance and direction to laboratory staff, including medical laboratory technicians and technologists.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all laboratory tests are performed in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain compliance with all relevant regulatory agencies, including CLIA and CAP.
- Staff Development: Provide training and development opportunities to laboratory staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with laboratory staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that test results are accurately reported and interpreted.
- Education: Bachelor's degree from an approved college or university and/or graduate of an accredited school of medical technology.
- Certification: Registered or registry eligible in accordance with an approved certifying agency (ASCP, NCA, AMT or CSMLS within 12 months of hire).
- Skills: Ability to perform all duties as required of a Medical Technologist, including analytical and problem-solving skills.
