Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team at Guthrie. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in the treatment of cancer patients, using ionizing radiation to administer therapeutic doses as prescribed by physicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, simulate, and deliver prescribed radiation treatments to patients.
  • Conduct daily quality assurance procedures on linear accelerators and report any deviations to physicists.
  • Assist in high-dose rate afterloading procedures and schedule treatment appointments.
  • Verify patient identification, prescriptions, and treatment plans.
  • Monitor patient progress and report any complications or erratic equipment operation to physicians or physicists.
  • Apply radiation safety rules and regulations, detecting hazards and ensuring public safety in the event of an accident.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma with additional skills training and certification.
  • Minimum of six months of experience in radiation therapy.
  • ARRT (Radiation Technologist) certification required.

Compensation: $35.15 - $55.67 per hour.
