Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Route Sales Representative to join our team at Borden Dairy. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for delivering and restocking milk products to retail stores and/or wholesale distribution locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivery and Restocking: Safely load, unload, and deliver products at each account, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of milk products.
  • Route Management: Drive truck over established route to deliver, stock, and stage product at customer locations, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Customer Service: Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays, deliver promotional material to customers, and resolve any discrepancies or customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Inventory Management: Verify shipment accuracy and salable condition of product, complete daily inventory, orders, delivery invoices, and proof of delivery as required.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform Motor Vehicle Inspections on truck to conform to DOT regulations and company policy, and assist with routine maintenance on truck.
  • Attendance and Work Hours: Maintain reliable attendance and consistent work hours, adhering to company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Experience: 6 months verifiable experience driving Class A or Class B commercial vehicle preferred, with experience in product delivery and customer service also preferred.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to frequently stand, walk, kneel, reach, climb, pull, and bend, with the ability to routinely lift over 60 pounds and push/pull up to 300 pounds with a hand-held hook.
  • Certifications: DOT Class A or B CDL with Air Brake endorsement required.
Working Conditions
  • Environmental Factors: Must be able to work in hot and cold climates, both indoors and outdoors, and on refrigerated trucks.
