Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with epilepsy, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary treatment team.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing treatments as prescribed.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' conditions, identifying potential complications and developing strategies to prevent them.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Current registration as a registered professional nurse in New York State.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant clinical experience in epilepsy care or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.
- Experience with electronic medical records and other healthcare technology systems.
Variable days, 7:30am to 8:00pm (Full-Time)
Salary and BenefitsAs per civil service guidelines, with a salary range of $99,058 to $119,335 based on years of experience and education, plus shift and/or inconvenience pay.
