Medical Laboratory Scientist Lead

As a Medical Laboratory Scientist Lead at Intermountain Healthcare, you will be responsible for providing expert-level guidance and leadership to our laboratory team. This role requires a strong understanding of laboratory operations, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for implementing new test methodologies, analyzing current practices, and developing strategies to improve clinical practice and patient outcomes. Additionally, you will participate in quality and performance improvement initiatives, teach new and evolving testing and technologies, and coordinate orientation and training of new associates. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert-level guidance and leadership to the laboratory team
- Implement new test methodologies and analyze current practices to improve clinical practice and patient outcomes
- Participate in quality and performance improvement initiatives
- Teach new and evolving testing and technologies
- Coordinate orientation and training of new associates
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related science
- Current Medical Technologist (MT) certification through ASCP
- Minimum of four (4) years of hospital experience as a Medical Technologist or equivalent
Work Environment:
This role is based at Platte Valley Hospital in Brighton, Colorado. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment and will be expected to interact with colleagues and patients in a professional and respectful manner.
