Position Summary

Sherwin-Williams is seeking Regional Transportation Specialists to enhance our operations. Join our esteemed private fleet and enjoy the stability and security that comes with being part of our team.

As a dedicated driver for Sherwin-Williams, you will be responsible for ensuring safe and timely deliveries to our retail and customer locations, along with other essential duties required by our business in the Southeast region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport and deliver items to specified destinations as instructed.
  • Adhere to all relevant federal, state, and local regulations, including DOT and FMCSA guidelines.
  • Maintain high safety standards in accordance with company policies.
  • Keep accurate and complete DOT trip logs.
  • Perform thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service consistently.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status.
  • Possession of a valid Class-A Commercial Driver's License is required.
  • A valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) is necessary.
  • At least five (5) years of Class-A combination (tractor/trailer) driving experience within the last ten (10) years is required.
  • Must have both Hazardous Materials and Tanker endorsements, or be willing to obtain them upon receiving a conditional offer of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Possession of both Hazardous Materials and Tanker endorsements.
  • Experience with tight backing maneuvers in commercial vehicles.
  • Experience in freight handling, including unloading and moving freight before and after delivery.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Average annual salary range: $96,800 (dependent on miles driven and activities performed).
  • Compensation includes $0.65 per mile (which includes $0.09 per mile for per diem) plus additional activity pay. Eligible for a safety bonus based on company policies.
  • Consistent freight and mileage.
  • Weekly home time.
  • Access to newer Volvo automatic trucks equipped with inverters, refrigerators, and premium seating.
  • Assigned trucks primarily pulling 48'-53' trailers.
  • Weekly payroll.
  • Transition pay.
