As a Surgical Support Specialist at Frye Regional Medical Center, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical department. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in performing specific duties and activities for surgical patients of all age groups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform multiple departmental assigned tasks that facilitate the transportation of patients, positioning of patients, room readiness, and the turnover processes between surgical procedures.
- Take specimens to the laboratory, pick up x-rays, charts, etc.
- Assemble equipment, assist anesthesia care givers as directed, and perform environmental sanitation within the operating room and immediate ancillary units.
- Ensure proper care and storage of surgical equipment and devices.
