Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CT Technologist II to join our team at Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital. As a CT Technologist II, you will be responsible for performing a variety of routine to complex diagnostic CT procedures, including common and special CT exams of high difficulty.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic radiology procedures, including common and special CT exams, using x-ray images and computer processing to generate pictures of tissue densities through the patient's body.
  • Assess, identify, and respond to the needs of patients for adjustment or intervention to optimize patient care, image quality, and patient experience.
  • Position patients, prepare procedures, and modify technical factors to achieve desired imaging results and recognize complications and limitations associated with certain procedures.
  • Provide direct assistance to physicians during diagnostic or special CT procedures, including assisting with sterile technique.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, family members, and co-workers in a manner consistent with a customer service focus and application of positive language principles.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below in the Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations section.
  • Three years of experience as a CT Technologist.
  • ARRT-R, ARRT-THR, CNMT, ARRT-CT, CMRT, CMRT-Temp, and BLS certifications.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work independently, handle challenging/difficult diagnostic procedures and patient care situations, and demonstrate sound judgment and execute above-average clinical skills. The ideal candidate will possess basic computer knowledge, operate multiple computer systems, and exhibit strong interpersonal and team player skills with all levels of the healthcare team.
