Job Summary:

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a skilled Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality CT scans to create detailed images of internal organs and tissues. This is a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients, and we are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform CT scans on patients, preparing them for the procedure, explaining the process, and administering contrast when necessary.
  • Select appropriate imaging techniques and ensure the technical quality of the scan.
  • Enter and monitor patient data, ensuring accurate and timely information.
  • Perform quality assurance on CT equipment, identifying and reporting any malfunctions or issues.
  • Assist with initial and renewal applications for accreditation and other regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and report any accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to department management.
  • Take emergency calls within the department and may be required to work weekends and float to other locations as needed.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required; Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB(CT)) in Computed Tomography or one of the following along with documented training on the provision of diagnostic CT exams: Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R) or Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N) or Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Computed Tomography Technologist or two years of experience as a Radiological Technologist with CT education or experience, preferred.
