Qualifications:
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC.
- Completion of a surgical technology program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
- Active Surgical Technician Certification (CST) from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
- Preferred: Minimum of one year of experience as a Surgical Technician.
As a Surgical Services Technician, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining surgical instruments and equipment for various procedures. You will adhere to hospital policies and industry standards to ensure patient safety during operations. Your duties will include establishing and maintaining a sterile environment, preparing necessary instruments and supplies, and assisting the surgical team by passing instruments to the surgeon. Additionally, you may be tasked with transporting patients to and from the surgical suite.
