Key Responsibilities:

Herrera Environmental Consultants, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Restoration Design Project Manager to lead complex ecological restoration and floodplain management projects in the Western United States.

This role involves coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, including ecologists, landscape architects, engineers, and scientists, to develop comprehensive project plans. Key responsibilities include managing design tasks through completion and construction, preparing proposals, scopes of work, and budgets for design work, as well as business development experience. The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of professional experience in concept development and design of stream and river restoration and floodplain management projects.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, or master's degree in civil or environmental engineering if undergraduate degree was not in engineering
  • Current professional engineer (PE) license in Washington or Oregon, or ability to readily obtain one via comity application based on licensure in another US state
  • Familiarity with Washington State permitting requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to multitask daily, working with a fast-paced team of interdisciplinary staff on multiple concurrent projects across various jurisdictions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mastery of AutoCAD and ArcGIS software
  • Experience with hydraulic modeling and hydrologic analysis techniques
  • Familiarity with field data collection and related equipment
  • Permit application experience in Western states
  • Prior experience as a project manager of floodplain and restoration design or planning projects

Salary Information:

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $141,661 - $185,333. Please note that salaries may vary based on location, experience, and qualifications.
