The Senior CMC Program Management Leader applies extensive knowledge of CMC program management within the pharmaceutical development sector to orchestrate and oversee the advancement of assigned CMC initiatives of significant complexity with minimal oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior CMC Program Management Leader, your daily activities may encompass the following:
- Employs best practices in CMC program management to ensure that projects adhere to defined scope, budgetary constraints, and timelines while upholding quality standards.
- Formulates a strategic CMC program roadmap, independently leads a technical cross-functional team, and effectively represents CMC strategies to governance committees with limited supervision.
- Engages with senior leadership to drive strategic initiatives throughout the organization.
- Proactively identifies and mitigates CMC-related risks and constraints impacting timelines and resource allocation.
- Facilitates negotiation and resolution of complex challenges, prioritizing the program's needs and the CMC team's objectives. Collaborates with the team to secure consensus on an integrated CMC strategy.
- Acts as the primary liaison among cross-functional teams to promote the progress of programs; adeptly connects various organizational elements and demonstrates agility.
- Maintains a positive and professional demeanor in all communications, exemplifying composure under pressure and effective upward management.
- Creates tools and mechanisms for tracking progress and fosters innovative problem-solving approaches with cross-functional teams and area managers as necessary.
- May oversee a small team of direct reports, ensuring effective workload distribution and prioritization.
- Shares insights and experiences (Lessons Learned) across communities of practice, business units, and networks, promoting innovative knowledge-sharing practices.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this role, candidates must possess a BS/BA in a relevant field and:
Associate Manager:
6+ years of industry experience with 4+ years in related program management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Manager:
7+ years of industry experience with 5+ years in related program management or an equivalent combination of education and experience. PMP certification or MBA is advantageous.
