This role offers a hybrid work environment, requiring three days in the office. It is a direct hire opportunity with our esteemed client.

Key Responsibilities of the Lead Financial Strategist:

  • Deliver comprehensive financial support for significant Technology and Change Programs. This includes developing and maintaining financial models, creating multi-year financial forecasts, assisting with budgeting, and overseeing the funding approval process for expenditures related to these Programs.
  • Collaborate closely with Project and Change Managers to construct financial models that accurately reflect actual and anticipated cash flow and expense impacts by Program/project and year.
  • In partnership with the Senior Manager of FP&A, provide strategic financial insights to the CIO and Global Head of Enterprise Delivery regarding the financial implications of proposed project changes.
  • Engage in team meetings and steering committees pertinent to the respective projects.
  • Prepare high-level financial summaries for inclusion in presentations for Executive Staff and the Technology Investment Committee.
  • Utilize projected financial data from Programs/projects to inform the budgeting process.
  • Advise on cost-effective alternatives to project proposals.
  • Ensure proper allocation of project costs for accounting and tax purposes, leading discussions to assist the business in determining these allocations and documenting the rationale behind them.
  • Work alongside Accounting Policy to ensure adherence to capitalization policies.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or accounting is essential. An MBA with a concentration in corporate finance, FP&A, or management is preferred.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in an FP&A or accounting role, with a focus on analysis and budgeting, is required.
  • Experience in corporate forecasting and financial modeling is essential.
  • Preferred experience includes FP&A roles concentrated on Technology and within asset management firms.
  • Proficiency in Essbase and Oracle Financials is advantageous.
  • A solid understanding of technology related to the financial services industry is preferred to provide relevant financial recommendations and guidance.
