Responsibilities:

  • Assess, Plan, Implement, and Evaluate Patient Care Needs
  • Document Patient Care in the Healthcare Record According to Established Standards

Requirements:

  • Degree from an Accredited School of Nursing Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred
  • Minimum of Six Months Critical Care RN Experience in an Acute Care Facility within the Last Five Years Required, or Successful Completion of an Approved Critical Care Training Course/Orientation and Standard Competencies within Six Months of Hire
  • State of Oregon Nursing License Required
  • BLS at Date of Hire Required
  • ACLS Required within a Grace Period According to Resuscitation Training Completion Requirements Policy
  • NIHSS and TNCC Required within 12 Months of Hire/Transfer Date

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of One Year RN Experience in an Intensive Care Unit Specializing in Cardiac, Neuro, or Trauma
  • CCRN and CMC

Working Conditions:

  • Lifting
  • Patient Handling No Greater than 35 lbs. without the Use of Assistive Equipment and/or Devices (NIOSH)
  • Fine Motor Skills to be Able to Grasp and Control Medical Equipment and Perform Precise Procedures
  • Push/Pull: Frequently up to 45 lbs. Force (i.e., WOW, Medical Carts)
  • Ability to Move Around Area with Frequent Sitting
  • Bending/Stooping/Squatting/Reaching/Kneeling Frequently
  • Lifting (Non-Patient) up to 20 lbs. Occasionally and 5 lbs. Frequently

Environmental Conditions:

  • Exposure to Biohazard, Body Fluids, and Airborne Particles
  • Must be Able to Complete Tasks in a Noisy Environment
