Pediatric Cardiac ICU Advanced Practice Provider

**About the Role:**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Cardiac ICU Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at Inova L.J. Murphy Children's Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary cardiac team, you will play a vital role in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of cardiac medical patients, as well as pre- and post-operative/catheterization cardiac patients.
**Responsibilities:**
* Evaluate, diagnose, and treat cardiac medical patients, as well as pre- and post-operative/catheterization cardiac patients
* Assist in developing and implementing plans of care for all patients in the PCICU
* Participate in protocol/guideline development
* Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary cardiac team
* Provide consultation and education to patients and their families
**About the PCICU:**
The PCICU at Inova L.J. Murphy Children's Hospital is an integral part of the Heart Center, providing surgical repair of the most complex congenital heart defects, including hypoplastic left heart syndrome. Our program is responsible for more than 550 procedures each year and consistently outperforms national benchmarks in surgical survival, surgical site infections, and hospital-acquired infections.
**About Inova Children's Hospital:**
Inova Children's Hospital is the only dedicated children's hospital in Northern Virginia, providing care in a welcoming hospital that offers the latest in technical innovation in kid-friendly spaces. Our 226-bed pediatric hospital features all private rooms, as well as a 108-bed, level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) with private and semiprivate rooms.
**Requirements:**
* Master's degree in Pediatric Advance Practice Provider studies from an accredited program
* Active VA RN/APP License
* Acute Care Certification by Pediatric Nursing Certification Board
* BLS/ACLS and PALS certification
* Ability to work a flexible schedule, 12-hour shifts, days, nights, weekends, and holidays
* Pediatric cardiac experience preferred
