Job Overview

We are looking for a meticulous and knowledgeable Compliance Specialist to become a vital member of our compliance division. The Compliance Specialist will be instrumental in ensuring that VRC Companies, LLC maintains compliance with all applicable regulatory mandates, industry benchmarks, and internal protocols concerning the safeguarding, confidentiality, and integrity of client data.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design, execute, and uphold thorough compliance frameworks to guarantee alignment with federal, state, and local legislation, including but not limited to HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA, and NAID standards.
  • Track modifications in pertinent regulations and standards, revising policies and procedures as necessary.
  • Perform routine audits and evaluations of compliance practices, pinpointing and rectifying any instances of noncompliance.
  • Work collaboratively with various departments to ensure that compliance mandates are woven into all operational processes.
  • Deliver training and support to staff on compliance-related subjects, fostering a culture of ethical conduct and adherence to regulations.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a compliance capacity, ideally within the records and information management sector.
  • Comprehensive understanding of federal and state regulations concerning information privacy and security (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA).
  • Familiarity with industry standards and guidelines, such as NAID and ISO 27001.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of providing clear and concise guidance.
