Job Summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Subway Lead Cashier to join our team. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and well-stocked food and beverage area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive experience for every guest
  • Process transactions efficiently and accurately using our point-of-sale system
  • Maintain a clean and organized food and beverage area, including restocking and rotating merchandise
  • Order, receive, and unload product, ensuring timely and accurate inventory management
  • Perform cycle counts and end-of-day reporting to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance
  • Assist with scheduling and training lower-level cashiers on job duties and responsibilities
  • Prioritize tasks according to store and management needs, ensuring seamless operations
  • Communicate effectively with leaders and coworkers, fostering a positive and inclusive team environment
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of cashier experience, preferably in a retail or convenience store setting
  • Strong computer and POS knowledge, with experience in register audits and safe counting
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
