About the Role

Dedham Savings is seeking a highly skilled Senior Commercial Credit Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our commercial lending team, you will be responsible for analyzing new and existing commercial credit relationships to assess risk and provide recommendations to our lending officers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Comprehensive Credit Analysis: Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data to assess the creditworthiness of commercial borrowers.
  • Develop Credit Recommendations: Provide written analysis and recommendations to lending officers on credit approval, loan structure, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with Lending Officers: Work closely with lending officers to identify and understand existing and potential risks and trends in commercial credit relationships.
  • Prepare Management Reports: Independently prepare various management reports, including covenant tracking, policy exceptions, and loan quality control reports.
  • Present to Executive Committee: Present loan recommendations and credit analysis to the Executive Committee as requested.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Related Field: A bachelor's degree in finance or a related field is preferred, or at least one year of related experience and/or training.
  • Commercial Lending Experience: Thorough knowledge of commercial lending practices, including credit analysis, loan structuring, and risk management.
  • Analytical and Communication Skills: Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with lending officers and other stakeholders.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and Word.
