Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Battery Scientist to join our team at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for developing and testing advanced battery technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our team to design and synthesize electrolyte formulations for vanadium flow batteries and aqueous organic flow batteries.
  • Develop and implement test protocols for specific flow battery technologies.
  • Program battery cycling equipment and interface battery management systems with battery cyclers.
  • Analyze data and create reports on battery performance and degradation.
  • Work safely in our laboratory environment.
Qualifications
  • BS/BA and 2 years of relevant experience, or MS/MA, or PhD.
  • Engineering or Science degree with 3 or more years of experience.
  • Experience in battery testing and redox flow batteries.
  • Programming skills in battery cycler equipment and data analysis software.
