Company Overview:
Health Images is seeking a dedicated full-time Advanced Imaging Technologist to join our team. This role involves performing MRI, CT, and X-Ray procedures in a professional and patient-centered environment.

Position Overview:
The Advanced Imaging Technologist is responsible for conducting MRI, CT, and X-Ray examinations in accordance with established protocols and tailored to meet the specific needs of patients. This includes preparing patients for procedures, positioning them correctly, and ensuring that scans are performed using appropriate technical settings. The technologist will also maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients, adhering to safety protocols and contributing to the overall efficiency of the imaging unit.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Engage with patients to gather medical histories and provide clear instructions regarding procedures to ensure optimal imaging results.
  2. Review patient records for any missing clinical information or necessary consents.
  3. Screen patients for any surgical implants, allergies to contrast materials, and other relevant health concerns.
  4. Acquire previous imaging studies as required and execute high-quality scans for radiological interpretation.
  5. Monitor patient care throughout the imaging process and promptly report any changes in patient condition.
  6. Transfer images to designated locations as needed.
  7. Collaborate with radiologists to coordinate scanning protocols.
  8. Regularly inspect and maintain imaging equipment, reporting any quality issues or malfunctions immediately.
  9. Communicate effectively with the Lead Technologist and Center/Area Manager regarding departmental matters.
  10. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Work Environment:
This position operates within a controlled outpatient clinical setting. Employees may encounter exposure to radiation, which is mitigated through the use of Personal Protective Equipment. There may also be exposure to bodily fluids and other medical office conditions.

Physical Requirements:
The physical demands of this role include the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Regular use of hands and fingers is required to operate equipment and tools, along with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of two years of experience in MRI, CT, and X-Ray.
  • Ability to educate patients on imaging procedures.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and a collaborative team player.
  • Proficient in navigating multiple computer systems.
  • Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.

Education and Certifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Current certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in MRI, CT, and Radiography.
  • Current state medical board license (if applicable).
  • Current CPR certification.
