Job Title: Airfield Inspector

Job Summary:

Stratford Solutions Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Airfield Inspector to oversee and manage on-site field construction activities associated with large-scale airport construction projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of airfield construction-related processes and industry practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight of construction-related activities on major airport improvement projects.
  • Review contractor schedules and work plans to identify critical milestones and priorities.
  • Establish assignments for construction professionals and support disciplines under supervision for various work areas of construction operations.
  • Monitor the baseline schedule against contractor weekly schedule updates to determine if a project is on schedule.
  • Maintain oversight and alertness to potential problem areas and recommend or take preventive action to ensure critical milestones are met.
  • Serve as a contact with client representatives, contractors, engineers/designers, and other personnel affecting construction-related activities.
  • Work with all parties involved to resolve challenges and find the best possible solution.

Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of airfield construction-related processes and industry practices.
  • Ability to collaboratively accomplish key project goals and solve project challenges.
  • Demonstrated effective managerial capability and strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to recognize when plans and specifications are not being met and approach involved parties to find the best solution.
  • Ability to present issues to the client/owner with tact and offer solutions or corrective actions in their best interest.
