Key Responsibilities:
  • Resource Allocation and Planning: Oversee the allocation and management of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure the successful completion of programs and initiatives within the Delivery Office.
  • Forecasting and Planning: Create and lead an 18-month rolling forecast of internal Software Development Engineer (SDE) staffing needs, categorized by Chapter and under the supervision of the Senior Director of Tech Leads.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with teams in Engineering Enablement and DevOps to understand their resource needs, identify areas of support, align resource allocation plans accordingly.
  • Resource Utilization and Optimization: Supervise resource utilization across the Delivery Office and find opportunities for optimization and cost savings with the Chapters.
  • Problem-Solving and Analysis: Identify and prioritize resource constraints and work with key partners to develop solutions to mitigate those constraints.
  • Reporting and Data Management: Develop and maintain resource tracking tools and systems, including databases and software, to ensure accurate and up-to-date resource data.
  • Stakeholder Management: Provide regular reports and updates on resource utilization, availability, and allocation to key partners, including executive leadership.
  • Process Improvement: Evaluate the effectiveness of resource allocation and planning processes and recommend improvements as needed.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in resource allocation and planning, preferably in a project-based environment.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate data, identify trends, and make informed decisions on resource allocation and planning.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively connect with partners at all levels of the organization.
  • A solid understanding of project management principles, including project scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Proficiency in project management software, resource management tools, and database management systems.
  • The ability to identify and prioritize resource constraints and develop solutions to mitigate those constraints.
  • Meticulous and diligent to ensure that all resource allocation plans are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and regulations related to resource allocation and planning.
  • Willingness and ability to live the McDonald's values every day: Serve, Inclusion, Integrity, Community, and Family.
  • Proficient in leading and collaborating with senior leaders to assess, adjust, and harmonize resource forecasts or similar endeavors.
