Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeper/Porter to join our team at Liverangewater. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our properties, providing exceptional customer service to our residents, and working collaboratively with our staff to achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain all common areas, including offices, amenities, and common area restrooms
  • Inspect the property regularly to remove litter and debris, and ensure all common areas are neat and free of litter
  • Remove trash and remaining items from vacant apartments, transfer trash to dumpster or storage area as applicable, and clean and maintain storage areas
  • Complete make-ready cleans for vacant apartments to ensure they are move-in ready
  • Assist the make-ready specialist in the turn process, complete assigned requests by the Service Director and/or Community Director, and distribute notices and communications to residents as necessary
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents, respond to their inquiries and concerns, and work peacefully with co-workers and residents
  • Comply with Liverangewater's safety and risk-management policies, attend and participate in routine safety meetings, complete required training on OSHA and other safety-related laws and requirements, and report accidents and incidents promptly and accurately
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Employment history demonstrating the application of knowledge and skills sufficient in the safe use of cleaning chemicals, hand tools, power tools, user-moved aids, mechanical equipment, and measuring devices
  • Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and comply with product labels, safety, and policy and procedures manuals
  • Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with residents, clients, team members, and other business contacts
  • Rudimentary knowledge and ability to access company software and perform standard repetitive tasks
  • Current valid driver's license required

Incumbents work both inside and outside of apartment buildings and in all areas of the property, including amenities. Housekeepers/Porters have frequent exposure to and handling of cleaning chemicals and to outside elements where temperature, weather, odors, and/or landscape may be unpleasant and/or hazardous.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, type, handle or feel objects, talk, and hear. The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms, climb, stoop, and squat. Incumbents must be able to physically access all exterior and interior parts of the property and amenities and must be able to work inside and outside in all weather conditions, including rain, snow, heat, hail, wind, and sleet. Must be able to operate golf carts at properties with golf carts, walk extended distances, and navigate stairs to multiple levels daily.

Housekeepers/Porters must be able to push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to twenty-five (25) pounds independently and fifty (50) pounds with assistance.
