Job Summary

EVONA is seeking a highly skilled Principal Spacecraft Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the development of spacecraft systems and ensuring their successful integration and operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Requirements and Verification: Develop, allocate, and manage system requirements and verification to ensure that spacecraft systems meet the required specifications.
  • Technical Budgeting: Develop and maintain technical budgets for system performance to ensure that resources are allocated effectively.
  • Technical Documentation: Author interface control documents, CONOPS definitions, and other system design documents to ensure clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Customer Engagement: Lead and facilitate technical exchanges with customers to ensure that their needs are met and that the project is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Program Management: Work closely with the program management office and customers to achieve mission success and ensure that the project is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other technical program leads and diverse domain expertise to ensure that the project is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Trade Execution: Execute and manage key trades to ensure that the project is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Mentorship: Provide mentoring for junior Systems Engineers to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge required to succeed in their roles.
Requirements
  • Experience: 10+ years' experience as a spacecraft systems engineer or subsystem engineer.
  • Program Life Cycle: Experience with at least four phases of the program life cycle (business development, mission formulation, requirements development and flow-down, integration, test, and verification, and on-orbit operations).
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Engineering, Science, or a related technical field.
  • Technical Experience: Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated responsibility for space hardware missions and ability to effectively work with and communicate with all levels of management and team member contributors on the program.
  • Systems Engineering: Thorough understanding of the Systems Engineering development lifecycle and change management process.
  • Independence: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on projects.
