With minimal oversight from Software Engineering leadership, this role focuses on developing and deploying innovative software solutions tailored for our clients.


As a Senior Software Engineer, you will research, evaluate, design, construct, maintain, and enhance essential applications and functionalities for our core systems. Additionally, you will assume a vital technical leadership and mentorship role within the Software Engineering team.


Your Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and deliver high-quality software solutions at an expert level within various business domains, utilizing the specialized knowledge, skills, and abilities outlined below.
  • Assess and select suitable technologies that fulfill user requirements while ensuring scalability, efficiency, and security, in alignment with company and industry standards.
  • Review solutions and vendors, providing recommendations as needed.
  • Write and implement efficient code that meets defined business objectives while complying with company policies, regulations, and security protocols.
  • Guide Software Engineers through design evaluations, code assessments, coaching, and training opportunities.
  • Act as a principal technical contributor to development teams, managing complex projects that involve multiple internal and external collaborators.
  • Apply agile best practices, emphasizing a "shift-left" testing approach, including the implementation of automated testing and various testing methodologies for unit, functional, load, and integration testing throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Diagnose, debug, and provide root cause analysis for the most intricate incidents, fostering team learning to prevent similar issues in the future.
  • Identify and lead process enhancements.
  • Deliver solutions in a collaborative, agile environment alongside Product Owners, Business Analysts, UX designers, Scrum Masters, leadership, and architects.
  • Continuously develop and expand technical skills and knowledge through online, printed, or in-person training and seminars.
  • Collaborate, contribute to, and mentor peers through formal and informal channels such as Guilds and peer group organizations.

Qualifications for Success:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development.
  • Proficient in TypeScript, JavaScript, and Python.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with C#, .NET Core.
  • Familiarity with creating Python Services using FastAPI.
  • Knowledge or experience with relevant frameworks.
  • Experience in building and consuming RESTful services and API contracts using OpenAPI specifications.
  • Familiarity with other RPC technologies (e.g., gRPC, SOAP).
  • Experience in containerizing applications using Docker.
  • Experience with Kubernetes (or AKS, EKS, GKE).
  • Experience in developing cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure using services like APIM, Service Bus, Storage, and Key Vault.
  • Experience with Azure Document Intelligence or Azure OpenAI.
  • Familiarity with Kong Gateway.
  • Knowledge of Kafka and DynaTrace.
  • Experience with MongoDB/Atlas, including implementing queryable and transparent encryption.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps Services for automated lifecycle management and Git version control.
  • Understanding of application and API lifecycle management.
  • Experience securing API endpoints using oAuth2/OIDC.
