Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at Atrius Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our clinicians in delivering high-quality medical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clinicians with routine clinical procedures and tests in the exam room, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient flow.
  • Advise patients on preparation and testing required for exams, providing clear and concise instructions.
  • Ensure all pre-visit work is completed and lab and other test results are available in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Deliver excellent customer service and strengthen the patient/clinician relationship through timely and informative interactions.
  • Improve clinical operations and efficiencies by providing an efficient flow of patients.
  • Provide clinical and clerical support to the practice and clinicians related to patient care.
  • May provide direct clinical support to one or more assigned clinicians.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalency certificate from an accredited institution or governmental unit.
  • Medical Assistant Certification required.
  • Associate degree in medical assisting or graduate of medical assistant certification program preferred.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) strongly preferred.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on specialty.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or other non-clinical degree combined with an interest in healthcare and excellent problem-solving, multi-tasking, technology-literate skill sets.
  • Computer experience required with the ability to use word processing and spreadsheet programs.
  • Electronic medical record (EMR) experience and/or aptitude to master the EMR based on other technology experience required.
