Position Overview:

The compensation range for this role is $29.92-$46.72, determined by relevant experience.

This position is eligible for an $8,000 sign-on bonus and a shift differential.

The work schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts, from 11:30 AM to 10 PM.

Role Responsibilities:

As an MRI Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for operating MRI scanners to capture diagnostic images of patients' bodies. Your role will involve:

1. **Patient Interaction:**
- Conducting thorough screenings of patients prior to examinations to identify any precautions or contraindications.
- Clearly explaining the MRI procedures to patients, ensuring they understand the process and positioning required for optimal imaging.

2. **Technical Proficiency:**
- Performing both routine and advanced MRI scans on designated body areas, assisting physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions.
- Adjusting MRI parameters as necessary to achieve high-quality images while minimizing the need for repeat scans.

3. **Collaboration and Compliance:**
- Maintaining positive working relationships with radiologists, referring physicians, and colleagues.
- Adhering strictly to physician directives and safety regulations to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
- Keeping accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).

4. **Work Environment Maintenance:**
- Ensuring a clean and organized workspace, promoting safety for both patients and coworkers.
- Regularly maintaining and disinfecting MRI equipment to uphold high standards of care.
- Complying with all HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.

5. **Departmental Support:**
- Assisting in the upkeep of imaging protocol manuals and software updates.
- Monitoring inventory levels of medical supplies and requesting replenishments as needed.
- Contributing to the training of new staff members by sharing expertise and resources.
