MRI Imaging Specialist

Job Summary: RAYUS Radiology is seeking a skilled MRI Imaging Specialist to join our team. As an MRI Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for operating MRI scanners to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Imaging: Screen patients before exams for any precautions or contraindications, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.
- Exam Preparation: Explain and prepare patients for MRI procedures, explaining the procedure and positioning patients for optimal imaging.
- Procedure Performance: Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body, providing patient support and adjusting scan parameters as needed.
- Record Keeping: Accurately maintain patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain equipment in good working order, cleaning and disinfecting after each use.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all HIPAA guidelines.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Department Support: Assist with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades, monitor medical supply inventory, and request supplies as needed.
- Training and Development: Assist with training new associates, providing resource and technical expertise as applicable.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in MRI imaging or a related field preferred.
- Certifications: ARRT (R) certification in MRI required.
