Job Summary:
Soliant is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in a school-based setting in California. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with students to develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve their fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' needs and develop targeted treatment plans.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in individual and group settings, adapting to their unique needs and abilities.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress and develop strategies to improve student outcomes.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care abilities, utilizing evidence-based practices and best practices in occupational therapy.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to goal setting and progress reviews, ensuring that student needs are met and progress is tracked.
- Provide training and resources to school staff and parents to support students' occupational therapy needs, promoting a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current Occupational Therapist license in the state of California.
- Previous experience working with children or in a school setting is preferred, but not required.
- Strong understanding of child development, sensory processing, and fine motor skills, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a school-based setting.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, parents, and other educational professionals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, with a patient-centered approach to care.
