Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at People Inc. as a Developmental Disabilities Caregiver. In this role, you will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide medical case management and nursing services to individuals with developmental disabilities in various settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with monitoring and coordinating the delivery of preventive routine health care, therapies, and programs for individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Ensure adequate completion of health-related exams, appointments, laboratory/diagnostic testing as ordered or required.
  • Monitor medication administration in the facility and administer medications, treatments, and supplements as assigned.
  • Participate as an active member of the Interdisciplinary Team and maintain compliance with all Physician, NP, PA, etc. orders, applicable State/Federal regulations, and agency policy and procedure.

Requirements:

  • Current NYS licensure to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Valid Driver's License that meets agency policy.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the position and maintain Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention (SCIP-R) certification as per regulatory guidelines.
  • CPR certification required.
