MRI Technologist

As a Staff MRI Technologist at Catholic Health System, you will be responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures and related clerical functions. You will work independently, using your analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate and high-quality results. You will also be responsible for contrast agent preparation, MRI safety screening, and participating in after-hours and weekend emergency call rotations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI procedures and related clerical functions
- Prepare contrast agents in accordance with guidelines
- Conduct MRI safety screening of patients and non-MRI associates
- Participate in after-hours and weekend emergency call rotations
Requirements:
- Graduate of an approved school of radiologic technology or magnetic resonance imaging
- Current certification by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
- 1 year of experience in an advanced modality or 3 years of experience as a radiologic technologist
- Ability to work independently and use analytical skills and attention to detail
Working Conditions:
- Good general health necessary to stand and walk most of the day
- Ability to pull, push, and lift patients and equipment
Environment:
- Normal heat, light space, and safe working environment
- Occasional exposure to mildly unpleasant physical conditions
