MRI Imaging Specialist

As an MRI Technologist at Kaleida Health, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality diagnostic images for patients. Your expertise will be essential in collaborating with healthcare teams to contribute to patient care plans. You will work closely with the MRI team and Lead to identify and drive quality and performance improvement initiatives. To succeed in this role, you will need thorough knowledge and understanding of MRI principles and physics. Your ability to promote Kaleida Health's mission, vision, and values will be vital in providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
Performs a variety of MRI procedures to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.
Collaborates with internal and external healthcare team members to contribute to patient care plans.
Practices patient safety and works in collaboration with the MRI team and Lead to identify and drive quality and performance improvement initiatives.
Provides care, preparation, and positioning of patients to obtain high-quality diagnostic images utilizing magnetic resonance imaging.
Requirements:
Associate of Applied Science in Radiologic Technology or graduate of an approved ARRT Certification Program required.
Completion with a passing score of a cross-sectional anatomy exam required. If certified, cross-sectional anatomy exam not required. If Nuclear Med Tech, Bachelor of Science required.
1 year of experience in MRI preferred. 1 year of experience in CT as a second preference if does not have 1 year in MRI preferred. 1 year of experience in X-ray Tech position required.
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT MR) within 3 years required.
Must have only one of the following Licenses/Certifications upon hire/transfer: Radiology Technologist, American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT R), Nuclear Medicine Technologist, Am Reg Of Rad Tech Nu (ARRT N), or NYS Cert for IV Contrast Admin within 90 days of hire/transfer.
What We Offer:
Competitive salary range: $36.77-$46.54 per hour.
Variable shift and scheduled work hours.
Weekend and/or holiday scheduling required.
Bi-weekly hours: 0.
