MRI Technologist

Job Summary:
An MRI Technologist performs magnetic resonance imaging procedures and related clerical functions at a level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.
Responsibilities:
- Graduate of an Approved School of Radiologic Technology and/or graduate from an accredited/approved school/program of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).
- Current Certification by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists - Radiological Technologist Registry (ARRT) (R) must be maintained unless candidate is a graduate from a formal accredited/approved school/program of MRI.
- 1 (one) year in an advanced modality (CT, US, Nuclear Medicine, Interventional Radiology/Cath Lab, Mammography) or 3 (three) years' experience as a Radiological Technologist ARRT (R).
- Certified to inject with NYSDOH within 90 days.
- BLS required within 90 days.
Requirements:
- Good judgment.
- Analytical ability.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Responsible.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Ability to interpret data and draw conclusions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Working Conditions:
Good general health necessary in order to stand and walk most of the day. Must have the ability to pull, push, and lift patients and equipment.
Environment:
Normal heat, light space, and safe working environment; typical of most office jobs.
Occasional exposure to one or more mildly unpleasant physical conditions.
Intermittent exposure to a few unpleasant physical conditions.
Frequent exposure to many disagreeable physical conditions.
Continuous exposure to extremely disagreeable physical conditions.
Risk of exposure to infectious organisms, ionizing radiation and strong magnetic field.
