Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a wide range of menu items in a high-volume production kitchen environment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring that all necessary ingredients and equipment are available.
  • Work collaboratively with our events team to provide exceptional service to our clients and guests.
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu items to enhance our culinary offerings.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior staff members as needed.
Requirements
  • 2-4 years of experience in a commercial kitchen environment, with a focus on volume production.
  • Strong working knowledge of standard culinary techniques and ingredients.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurance, with the ability to drive our catering vans and food truck.
Working Conditions
  • Work in a commercial kitchen environment with concrete floors and commercial kitchen equipment.
  • Exposure to stressful situations requiring discernment and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 30 pounds for extended periods.
  • Travel required between our ministry campus and event sites within the community.
