Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute communication plans to promote recreational programs and initiatives effectively.
  • Participate in organizing recreational events, which may occasionally take place on weekends.
  • Oversee both internal and external communication channels, including newsletters, websites, and press releases.
  • Collaborate with various Property Owner Committees and internal departments to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all communication materials.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage recreational activities and workshops to engage Property Owners and the public.
  • Assess and analyze the success of communication campaigns and recreational events, making necessary adjustments.
  • Establish and nurture partnerships with local organizations, sponsors, vendors, and stakeholders to support community recreation programs.
  • Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations regarding public communications and recreational activities.
  • Address inquiries and concerns related to recreation programs and communications promptly and professionally.
  • Stay informed about trends in communication and recreational management to enhance ACL services and community engagement.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a communications role, ideally within a recreational or community service context.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and disseminate effective communications across various platforms.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to produce clear and engaging content.
  • Proficiency in social media management and digital communication tools.
  • Experience in event planning and coordination.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to develop innovative programs and events to engage community members.
  • Familiarity with graphic design principles and proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
  • Ability to gather and analyze feedback and data to inform communication strategies and program effectiveness.
  • Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within community programs and communication efforts.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends for events and programs.
