Speech Language Pathologist, SLP

Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist, SLP to join our team at Betsy Ross Nursing Rehab Center. As a Speech Language Pathologist, SLP, you will play a vital role in optimizing communication, cognitive-linguistic abilities, and swallowing skills of our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a strong Speech Language Pathology, SLP therapy program to prevent, assess, evaluate, diagnose, and treat disorders that affect speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing in adults.
  • Provide training and education to residents and their loved ones on the therapy program.
  • Ensure quality patient care, including screening and evaluation of patients, development of initial and ongoing treatment plans, discharge planning, and case management responsibilities.
Requirements
  • Must hold an appropriate professional license in NY in good standing.
  • Adhere to all state and federal regulations regarding SLP therapy.
  • Skilled Nursing Facility, SNF/Nursing Home experience required.
  • An SLPCCC or SLPCFY is required.
  • Dedicated to providing extraordinary, clinically sound, compassionate care.
  • Must possess a spirit of cooperation, caring enthusiasm, and a commitment to creating an atmosphere conducive to rehabilitation and optimal resident health.
  • Genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, sometimes challenging residents.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Able to work well under pressure and willing to work harmoniously with all staff.
  • Covid-19 vaccinations are encouraged but not mandated.
