Overview:
HKS Fort Worth is seeking a skilled Medical Planner to contribute to their Health team's success. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in healthcare design and planning, with a focus on creating innovative and effective solutions for medical facilities.

Responsibilities:
Assist in developing and reviewing architectural floor plans, interior elevations, and reflected ceiling plans for clinical spaces
Collaborate with project teams to ensure seamless design and planning processes
Apply knowledge of architectural principles, practices, and procedures to complete assignments with originality and ingenuity
Participate in conceptual design and planning of healthcare projects
Translate client operational models into architectural design and medical plans
Facilitate discussions with end users to generate solutions in real-time
Coordinate or prepare drawings and designs in accordance with HKS standards and quality expectations
Understand research methodology and integrate research into practice
Participate in team meetings to discuss project issues, technical issues, and coordination with other disciplines
Maintain detailed documentation of client meetings
Prepare meeting minutes and other appropriate documents for consultant coordination meetings
Understand fundamental accounting principles and the project accounting process
Collaborate in delivering projects on defined budget requirements
Maintain accountability to project plan and planned utilization rate
Develop and maintain excellent relationships with existing and potential clients
Support the business development process by identifying new opportunities, marketing current clients for repeat business, and assisting with proposals, budgets, and schedules

Qualifications:
Accredited professional degree in Architecture or related field
Architectural Registration strongly preferred
Typically 5+ years of experience with a healthcare design and planning background
Sustainable design accreditation preferred
Advanced knowledge in architectural software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and 3D modeling software (including Rhino and Grasshopper) preferred
Proficiency in MS Office Suite preferred
Knowledge of sustainability and integrated design guidelines
Advanced knowledge of current healthcare planning and programming concepts, including patient safety and evidence-based design principles
Proficient knowledge of guidelines for design and construction of healthcare facilities
Strong knowledge of architectural building systems, building codes, and accessibility guidelines
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
Ability to communicate and present ideas in a clear, concise, and professional manner both verbally and in writing
