About the Role

The Mental Health Technician plays a vital role in the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, and interaction with patients of all ages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care and supervision under the direction of a Registered Nurse
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
  • Monitor patient behavior and report any concerns to the treatment team
  • Participate in patient education and support groups
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement patient care plans
Requirements
  • High School Degree or equivalent required; Certified Nursing Assistant accepted
  • Two years of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques and understanding of mental illness
  • Ability to work 2nd shift, rotating holidays and every other weekend
