Job SummaryWe are seeking a Part-time Client Advocate to join our RISE Program team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and facilitating social/peer support events, including group facilitation for clients. This role will also involve preparing marketing materials, creating and posting content for social marketing campaigns, and conducting outreach activities to recruit new clients and re-engage former clients.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate social/peer support events, including group facilitation for clients.
- Prepare marketing materials for the program.
- Create and post content for social marketing campaigns addressing HIV prevention and other health concerns for MSMoC.
- Conduct outreach activities at high-risk venues to market the program and recruit new clients and re-engage former clients.
- Develop action plans with clients enrolled in navigation or support services.
- Follow-up with clients and referral organizations regarding client contact and progress.
- Collaborate with program staff to assist clients in breaking through barriers to client goals and achieving self-sufficiency.
- Document client progress and provide required information for reports.
- Sufficient education and English-speaking, reading, writing, and math abilities to comprehend oral and written information and assist callers and visitors and staff.
- Two years of relevant experience, preferably in a mid-sized organization.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge about, understanding of, and ability to work closely with, persons with HIV/AIDS and related issues.
- Experience and/or comfort conducting online outreach via social media and dating/hook-up apps and websites.
