Job Summary

We are seeking a Client Advocate to join our RISE Program, which aims to reduce HIV transmission among men who have sex with men of color (MSMoC) and transgender or gender nonconforming individuals. The Client Advocate will play a crucial role in planning, coordinating, and facilitating social support events, as well as conducting outreach activities and providing navigation services to clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and facilitate social support events, including group facilitation for clients
  • Prepare marketing materials for the program and create content for social marketing campaigns
  • Conduct outreach activities at high-risk venues to recruit new clients and re-engage former clients
  • Develop action plans with clients enrolled in navigation or support services
  • Follow up with clients and referral organizations regarding client contact and progress
  • Collaborate with program staff to assist clients in breaking through barriers to their goals and achieving self-sufficiency
Requirements
  • Sufficient education and English-speaking, reading, writing, and math abilities to comprehend oral and written information
  • Two years of relevant experience, preferably in a mid-sized organization
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge about, understanding of, and ability to work closely with, persons with HIV/AIDS and related issues
  • Experience conducting online outreach via social media and dating/hook-up apps and websites
